When it comes to fat reduction, there’s light on your journey. Tackle problem areas for good.

What is CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting® is the leading, non-invasive fat reduction treatment.* It’s a scientifically proven way to contour your body by freezing unwanted fat, and with more than 17million treatments performed worldwide, helping people everywhere to see themselves in a new light.

*Based on 2020 HCP tracking market research in Canada, Spain, UK, Australia, China, Japan and Thailand (N=1344), and Q1 2021 US tracking market research.

What to expect

You can go from feeling an initial cooling-suction to a gentle massage within 60 minutes. As the treatment starts working, fat cells will become crystalised and frozen before being permanently eliminated.

Results take shape

CoolSculpting® has demonstrated fat layer reductions of up to 27% at 6 months, across multiple treatment areas. As stubborn fat disappears, your body can take shape.

*Average 27% fat reduction seen at 6-month follow-up in n=55 patients treated on the lower abdomen. Other body sites evaluated included brassiere rolls (20%), lumbar rolls (22%), hip rolls (25%), inner thighs (17%) and medial knees (18%). The average fat reduction at 6 months across all sites was 21.5%.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Considering CoolSculpting®

CoolSculpting® is specially designed for those who have unwanted, stubborn fat in targeted areas. It’s not a weight-loss solution for people who require a medical solution, but rather for those that simply have curves they’re conscious about.

Your first step should be to speak to a CoolSculpting® healthcare practitioner to see if this is a suitable procedure for you.

Typical side effects can include redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, skin sensitivity and numbness. Numbness can persist for up to several weeks. There may be a sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental treatment. These effects are temporary and usually resolve within days or weeks.

For a full list of side effects, please see the CoolSculpting® System user manual.

It can certainly treat the visible fat bulges in the upper arm, bra fat, back fat, banana roll, submental and submandibular areas, thigh, abdomen and flank. Your physician can create a customized treatment plan that’s tailored to your body and your individual goals.

Yes, the CoolSculpting® procedure can treat the chin area. Freezing away fat from a double chin can be as tolerable as using the CoolSculpting® procedure in other parts of the body (e.g., abdomen, waist, thighs). With CoolSculpting® treatment for a double chin, patients may see results after just 2 visits.

Once the treated fat cells are crystallised (frozen), they are naturally processed and removed from the body. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good. Check out the About page to learn more.

As a leading non-invasive fat-reduction treatment worldwide,* CoolSculpting® has a well-established safety and efficacy profile. Our controlled cooling devices are designed with built-in safety measures with sensors that detect that the skin is getting too cold. The system can then shut itself down automatically.
